Welcome to The Ice Cream Cottage!
We're the Martin family:

We moved to Fairhaven in 2004 and have been dreaming of opening an ice cream shop in this town ever since. We are so excited that is finally happening and we hope to become your ice cream destination.
Located at the beginning of the Fairhaven Bike Path.
Colleen grew up on Cape Cod working at her parents’ homemade ice cream store called Maggie’s Ice Cream. They had locations in Osterville, Mashpee Commons, Main Street Hyannis, and Marion over their 20 year span. Colleen and her five siblings started scooping at age 12 and became managers at age 16, but she can remember being paid “in ice cream” at even younger ages in exchange for wiping down tables, filling napkins and spoons, and doing whatever else was needed to help out the family.
When Colleen and Phil got married, they were able to run the store together for a few more summers before the business was sold. We cherish the memories, lessons learned and laughs had while running a family business, and we can’t wait to recreate that with our own family at The Ice Cream Cottage.
